Work has begun
After what seems like an eternity, the City of San Diego has finally approved the permits required to begin the improvements to the our new location. And so work has finally begun ! We will constantly be taking photos during the construction process and uploading them for you to view and see the progress as we make it. We are all very excited that we are coming to the final stages of this process.

Gary rides cross-country on his LT, NON-STOP!
When Gary gets these crazy ideas into his head, there's no stopping him. And that's doubly-true when he wants to cross the country non-stop. And when he says non-stop, he means it! He hooked up a trailer carrying 75 gallons worth of fuel to his K 1200 LT and set off for Florida one morning, and 37 hours later, he arrived at the Atlantic Ocean.

Mounted to his LT was a satellite GPS beacon so we could track his progress, and we have uploaded that data to Google Maps.

The local NBC affiliate was at Ocean Beach to witness the departure, and they shot some footage that was shown on the local news TV broadcast, but Gary was in New Mexico by the time it aired. Rex Neilson took some photos of everyone who was there to see Gary off.

On the east coast, we got in touch with the Vice President of the BMWNEF, Don Sipler, who himself is an Iron-Butt rider. Don offered to help guide Gary in through Jacksonville to get to the Atlantic Ocean via the best route available, and then took some photos of Gary and his LT at Jacksonville Beach. Gary has received attention world-wide for his efforts, with various news outlets and magazines contacting him to hear his story. BMW Motorcycles has splashed his story on their website as well.
